For nearly two decades, I’ve photographed families through the seasons of their lives — newborn days, childhood, growing families, ordinary afternoons that eventually become anything but ordinary.
Over the years, those photographs have found their way into hallways, staircases, bedrooms and albums. Children have grown up beneath them. Families have returned again and again, slowly building a visual history of their lives.
I’ve come to believe that the photographs that matter most aren’t simply the ones we love when they’re delivered.
They’re the ones we keep living with.
